BIOGRAPHY

COLONEL VICTORIA T. HABAS

Colonel Victoria Habas is currently serving as Deputy Commander of the 142d Wing, Portland Air National Guard Base, Portland Oregon. She is responsible for over 1400 personnel tasked to provide operational combat power. The readiness of the weapons systems and personnel under her charge are used in the execution of the F-15 Eagle Aerospace Control Alert mission defending the Pacific Northwest, worldwide deployments supporting national strategic objectives, and domestic operations activities including emergency response forces as directed by the Governor.

Col Habas was commissioned as a distinguished graduate from the Reserve Officer Training Corps Detachment 890, University of Virginia. She was also a distinguished graduate from Undergraduate Air Battle Manager Training at Tyndall AFB, FL and was assigned to Tinker AFB, OK for her initial operational assignment as an Air Weapons Officer aboard the E-3 Airborne Warning and Control System (AWACS). She is a Master Air Battle Manager with over 500 combat flying hours and qualifications in three different weapons systems within the Theater Air Control System.

During the course of her career, Col Habas has deployed overseas seven times in support of OPERATIONS SOUTHERN WATCH, NOBLE EAGLE, ENDURING FREEDOM, RESOLUTE SUPPORT, ALLIES REFUGE, INHERENT RESOLVE, FREEDOM SENTINEL, ATLANTIC RESOLVE, and COMBINED DEFENSE of the ARABIAN GULF. Col Habas’ previous assignment was Director, Strategic Plans & Requirements for Oregon - Air, and Vice Commander of the 603rd Air Operations Center, Ramstein AB, Germany. With her husband and three children, Col Habas resides in Seattle, WA where she leads engineering teams in the advanced military projects arm of a large aerospace company.
