70th Anniversary Celebration of the Oregon Air National Guard
Oregon National Guard veteran Fred Hill, a photographer with a B-25 photo reconnaissance unit in the South Pacific, shares one of his memorable moments during World War II, during the 70th Anniversary celebration held at the Portland Air National Guard Base, Portland, Ore., April 15, 2011. Hill was on of the original members of the 123rd Observation squadron and is one of 8 surviving members of Oregon's first National Guard aviation units formed before World War II.
