Vernonia Ground Breaking Event
Oregon Air National Guard Major Jake Miller, Commander of the 125th Special Tactics Squadron, describes some of the communication equipment the unit has been deploying and training with, to Oregon Governor Ted Kulongoski at Vernonia High School, Vernonia, Ore., on December 2, 2010. The 125th Special Tactics Squadron and other Oregon National Guard members helped rescue many of the towns residents after flood waters cover most of the town in 2007. Gov. Kulongoski was attending the groundbreaking ceremony Thursday for a new school and community center. (US Air Force Photograph by Tech. Sgt John Hughel, Oregon National Guard Public Affairs)
