Sgt. Fred Hill captured the momentous arrival of an Imperial Japanese Navy Mitsubishi BETTY bomber on Ie Shima, off the coast of Okinawa, on 19 August 1945. To many servicemen witnessing the event this was clear evidence that the war was indeed over. (Courtesy Mr. Fred Hill)
