In gratitude for US Coast Guard rescue swimmer Petty Officer Kelly Mogk’s valiant efforts which saved the life of 2nd Lt. Michael Markstaller in the mishap of 3 January 1989, members of the 142nd Fighter-Interceptor Group (142nd FIG) provided her with an F-4C Phantom II orientation flight in the summer of 1989.
