First Lieutenant Faith L. Hunsdon, a flight nurse, was the first woman to join the Oregon Air National Guard in March, 1958, coming to the 142nd Fighter Group from active duty service. She’s pictured here with Major Dave “Doc” Stoddard. She served as a flight nurse in the 142nd Infirmary for 12 years, then with the Veterans Administration hospital in Portland.
