The Storm Before the Calm – October, 1962 Part 1: The Columbus Day Storm
Major Raymond R. Robinson (right), Commander of the 689th Radar Squadron at Mt. Hebo Air Force Station, Oregon and Major Paul Green from Adair Air Force Station, Oregon inspect damage to the roof of the operations building at the Mt. Hebo radar site caused by pieces of the rigid radar radome and scaffolding after the Columbus Day Storm of 1962 tore the site up.
