Veterans of The Mighty Eighth: The Oregon Air National Guard’s connections to the Eighth Air Force of World War II
T/Sgt. Neil O. Buley was one of the OreANG's early aircraft maintenance Caretakers, and a World War II Army Air Force veteran who served in the European Theater of Operations. He is pictured here during the war along with other members of the 14th Photo Reconnaissance Squadron's Engineering Section and a P-51D Mustang fighter, added to the unit late in the war as an escort for its unarmed photo recon planes.
