The Oregon Air National Guard’s First Outstanding Unit Award

The Air Force Outstanding Unit Award to the 123rd Fighter-Interceptor Squadron for its exceptionally meritorious achievement between June 8, 1960 and April 30, 1962 was approved on October 12, 1962. Signed by Secretary of the Air Force Eugene M. Zuckert and Portland Air Defense Sector Commander Leon W. Gray, it was presented to the squadron during its Unit Training Assembly of December, 1962.
