The skies have no preference – Black American fighter pilots in the USAF

In 1949, the Black pilots of the 332nd Fighter Wing flying F-47N Thunderbolts won the first post-war USAF gunnery meet at Las Vegas AFB, Nevada. Team members were Capt. Alva Temple, 1st Lt.
