Reflections of Southeast Asia: Oregon ANG Veterans of the Vietnam War
On Veterans Day, 2010, Vietnam combat veteran Col Lars Granath spoke about his postwar experience with the F-15 Eagle in a ceremony which dedicated F-15A Eagle serial number 73-089 at the Evergreen Air & Space Museum in McMinnville, Oregon. F-4C Phantom II 63-7647 nearby at the right shows two red stars for aerial victories aircrew obtained in it during the Vietnam War. Col Granath is seen here before the ceremony, at the lower left in the white pants and dark sportcoat standing near the two jets which signify the 142nd Wing’s transformation which added an air superiority capability to the unit. Col Granath played an important role in that change. (Air National Guard photo by Tech. Sgt. Greg Neuleib)
