Fightin’ Bull in the Indochina Shop – The Southeast Asia Service of Lars Granath
A 388th Tactical Fighter Wing F-4E prepares to launch on a combat sortie from within the shelter of a “Wonder Arch” revetment at Bien Hoa Air Base, South Vietnam, during the Spring Invasion of 1972. The arches protected aircraft from North Vietnamese Army/Viet Cong rocket attacks. Lars Granath flew a number of combat missions during quick turns at South Vietnamese air bases to repel the invaders.
