142nd Wing Hits Significant Milestone in F-15 EX

A BDU-56 "bomb" is loaded onto an F-15 EX Eagle II aircraft assigned to the Oregon Air National Guard's 142nd Wing during a training mission at Mountain Home Air Force Base, Idaho, May 2026. The 142nd Wing is the first operational EX unit in the U.S. military. During this training mission, the wing took a significant step toward expanding the EX's operational capacity by demonstrating its air-to-ground capability.
