The 142nd Fighter Wing hosted a mobilization ceremony on Saturday, March 2, at 2:00 p.m., for its Airmen deploying across the globe in 2019. More than 100 Airmen assigned to the Oregon Air National Guard’s 142nd
Fighter Wing are headed to Southeast Asia, Europe, and Africa to support multiple U.S. Air Force and coalition missions.

“We are a reserve component that is relevant, always ready, and very proud to
represent the United States and the State of Oregon in this manner,” said Col. Todd
Hofford, 142nd Fighter Wing Vice Commander. “We instill in our Airmen a sense of pride and conviction in our mission here and when the opportunity presents itself, they rise to the challenge to accomplish that mission.”
Attending the ceremony was Oregon State Treasurer
Tobias Read; U.S. Senator Ron Wyden; the Adjutant General, Oregon, Maj. Gen. Michael Stencel; 142nd Fighter Wing Commander Col. Adam Sitler; and 142nd Fighter Wing Command Chief, Chief Master Sgt. Brent Cavanias.
