142nd Wing hosts local students at STARBASE Oregon

Last March, Students from the community participated in the STARBASE education program at Portland Air National Guard Base (PANGB), Portland, Ore. STARBASE offers a curriculum focused on Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics, or STEM, and serves students from 18 local school districts. The program works to provide students with 25 hours of STEM curriculum and will serve 4,000 students in the 2022-2023 school year.

STARBASE Portland at PANGB is one of four STARBASE Academies located on military installations across the state. STARBASE Academies are entirely Federally funded by the Department of Defense.
