The rough mission of the 416th Bomb Group (Light) on May 27, 1944 against the railroad marshaling yard at Amiens, France was escorted by fighter pilots of the 371st Fighter Group, who witnessed the event captured in this picture as watched an A-20 fall to enemy fire over the target.
