First Lieutenant Franklin McKinney was an F-5E pilot assigned to the 35th Photographic Reconnaissance Squadron (today’s 123rd Fighter Squadron). He went missing on a mission on November 5, 1944. In March, 1945, 400 Hungarian-Jewish women were transferred from the Nuremberg subcamp to Hollesischen which held over 1,000 women, including French, Polish and Russian near the end of the war.
